Blanche Barton, born Sharon Leigh Densley in 1961, is a prominent figure in the Church of Satan. She began her association with the Church’s founder, Anton LaVey, in 1984, eventually becoming his spouse and mother to their son, Satan Xerxes Carnacki LaVey. Following LaVey’s passing in 1997, Barton claimed the role of High Priestess of the Church of Satan. She was involved in a legal dispute over LaVey’s estate, which was resolved with a probate settlement. Barton authored several works on LaVey and the Church of Satan, including “The Church of Satan” and “The Secret Life of a Satanist.” She stepped down as High Priestess in 2002, appointing Peggy Nadramia as her successor, and took on the role of Chair Mistress of the Council of Nine
