Brad Steiger

Brad Steiger (1936-2018) was an American author of numerous books on paranormal and unexplained phenomena, including UFOs, extraterrestrial life, cryptids, and other mysterious occurrences. Born as Eugene E. Olson, he adopted the pen name Brad Steiger to separate his literary career from his personal life and other professional pursuits.

Steiger’s interest in the paranormal began at an early age, and over his career, he authored or co-authored over 170 books, exploring a wide range of topics in the realm of the unexplained and supernatural. His works delve into subjects such as ghost encounters, life after death, psychic phenomena, and the intersection of science and the supernatural.

One of Steiger’s most notable works is “Project Blue Book” (1976), which was based on the United States Air Force’s files on UFO investigations and sightings. He also wrote “The Werewolf Book: The Encyclopedia of Shape-Shifting Beings” and “Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places,” among many others. His books often compiled numerous accounts and stories, aiming to provide comprehensive overviews of their respective subjects.

Steiger’s approach to writing about the paranormal was characterized by an open-minded but inquisitive stance. He often refrained from drawing firm conclusions about the phenomena he described, instead presenting various perspectives and accounts to allow readers to form their own opinions.
